This is an ongoing project to create a 'Triton' style cafe racer out of a Suzuki Titan. The original donor bike is 1973 T500 that has spent its life in the UK so the cosmetics have suffered accordingly. Rather than go to the expense of recovering the chrome and paintwork we decided to do something different. Using our mid 70s T500 production racers as an inspiration we managed to source a genuine alloy tank from the period. The frame has been refinished and all the plated parts replated. The engine has been blasted clean and fully stripped down and serviced. We have then hand made the rearsets and all the brackets needed to fit the alloy guards etc. to give it that cafe racer look. We have tried to do this in a way that the factory would have done. Parts like the mudguards have been rubber mounted and the wiring modified to keep it out of sight. Still some work to do, it should be ready soon.
